It aims to facilitate connection with everyone involved to ensure that the steps required for product development are completed on time.
Based on the needs of customers, MQS organize Supplier Quality Engineers (SQEs) to support and supervise the Advanced Quality Planning for new product development processes of suppliers.
The main work contents of SQEs in the five stages of APQP include:
1.Planning and Project Determination Stage
①Conduct quality function deployment together with research and development to evaluate customer needs;
②Confirm critical components and quality characteristics;
③Study the new product development plan to identify own tasks and timeline;
④Decide whether the first-stage milestone can be completed.
2.Product design and development stage
①Internal review of drawings
②Supplier nomination ③Participate and supervise the technical clarification, enabling suppliers to have a thorough understanding of all explicit and potential quality and technical requirements
④Evaluation of handcrafted prototypes and OTS samples
⑤Final confirmation and revision of drawings
⑥Decision on whether the second-phase milestone can be completed
3.Process Design and Development Stage
①Compliance of hardware facilities
②PFMEA and CP review
③Measurement system analysis, initial process capability study, and packaging specifications
④Decision on whether the third-stage milestone can be completed
4.Product and Process Validation Stage
①Measurement system analysis, process capability, and packaging evaluation
②PPAP sample submission tracking and PPAP approval
③Decision on whether the fourth-stage milestone can be completed
5.Feedback, Evaluation, and Corrective Actions
①Reducing variation and continuous improvement
②Customer satisfaction
